The person behind Beyond London

Royal Household · WSET Level 1 · Programme Coordination

I spent years working in innovation before taking on a programme coordination role within the Royal Household, where I was responsible for organising over 200 engagements a year for a senior working member of The Royal Family. That experience taught me that exceptional organisation, handled quietly and efficiently, can make almost anything possible.

I've always had a passion for wine — tastings across Europe and America, from Champagne to Tuscany, Porto to Napa Valley — and I've watched English sparkling wine go from a curiosity to an internationally celebrated product. I hold the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines and work directly with a carefully selected portfolio of English vineyards in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Beyond London exists for one reason: to take the hassle out of a genuinely brilliant day out, and to share England's wine with as many people as possible.

Frequently asked questions

What does the £69pp fee cover?

It covers the vineyard train tour with a glass of sparkling wine, the guided wine tasting, your personalised day itinerary and all booking and coordination. Train travel and lunch are additional — we'll give you all the information you need and book any tables for you.

How far are the vineyards from London?

Our main vineyard experience is around 45 minutes from London by direct train, with no car needed. We work with vineyards across Kent, Surrey and Sussex — all within easy reach of the city.

Do I need a car?

No. We recommend travelling by direct train from London, which makes it a genuinely easy day out. Private minibus or coach transport can be arranged on request if your group would prefer to travel together.

Is lunch included?

Lunch is not included in the Vineyard Escape — this gives you the flexibility to choose from the dining options at the vineyard and pay on the day. We'll let you know what's available and make a reservation for you. Packages with food included are available from £89pp.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as possible, particularly for weekends, summer dates and larger groups. Popular vineyard dates can fill up well in advance — we'd recommend getting in touch at least 6–8 weeks ahead for group bookings.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. We'll confirm what options are available at the vineyard and help coordinate dietary requirements when making reservations. Non-drinkers are always welcome too.
